We need to let go of the idea of an LGBT+ “community”, as a monolith that you expect to be a certain way. Racism is not a problem in the LGBT+ community because a racist gay person is no more racist than a racist straight person. There is no community, just a bunch of people who happen to share certain traits, and who hang out sometimes. Shift your perspective, and you won’t be mad at “racism in the LGBT+ community” or “homophobia in the black community”.
