I hate to be the “Devil’s Advocate”, but disliking who the movie was focused on isn’t necessarily a race thing. Me personally, I’ve had such traumatic experiences with being forced into youth sports at a young age that any attempt to explore the perspective of a coach+parent who “seems overbearing but just wants the best for their kids” falls flat with me. I don’t care how coaches feel. Most parents fail at taking on the additional role of a coach. I know my dad did. I’m neither white nor do I call myself a feminist, but this is a bad take.
