Bits and Pieces | My Disconnected Thoughts
It has come to my attention that as of now, nobody read my first post. Guess I got lost in New.
Huh. I just thought that writing at an apt time about a relevant topic and hitting up all the right tags would get me SOME attention. But hey, it’s not a seasonal post; I meant for it to be pretty applicable year-round merely using Pride as a jumping-off point.
More importantly, I know that once my piece takes off, it will have ruffled some feathers. Now, my goal is not to be a provocateur; all my views are sincerely held and in good faith (which is what somebody in my soon-to-be-famous position would be expected to say about this, but I digress). But in an effort to mitigate the damage that will come from some of my more controversial takes, I will post these lighter articles every so often containing thoughts that aren’t long enough for a full-length post (or maybe I will extrapolate upon them in a full article later if I see fit), as a means of more casual talk in an attempt to seem more human (that will probably blow up in my face at some point).
It makes me uncomfortable how well-suited I seem to be to getting no sleep. The best thing is seeing how many great zingers I can make in my college classes after playing Minecraft until 3 in the morning while downing more lemonade in the time it takes to smelt 64 gold ore than most people drink in their lifetime. Really pushes me to my limit, y’know?
I go through three-year intervals of having a different favorite snack. Last time it was Sun Chips. This time, and for the foreseeable future, it’s Chex Mix.
I listen to whatever kind of music is currently on, but nobody believes me when I say so. They tell me I HAVE to have SOME favorite kind of music. Well… I don’t.
I rarely talk in public, which makes me a great people-watcher. It’s amazing how clearly you can hear other people’s conversations when you make no noises, barely move, and keep a low profile.
Rest assured, for those who care, I will post on Saturdays or Sundays. Maybe back-to-back, maybe every other, but most likely when I have something to say. When I post, it will be on a weekend.
That’s my piece for today. Thanks for hearing me out.
