Hey guys! Just about to head off on Thanksgiving Break, so expect some more editorials from me in the near future. Until then, please enjoy a collection of some random thoughts that may or may not be expanded upon later:

I take back what I said that one time about Turning Red being a discourse apocalypse. It’s far from the first or only time a movie or TV show became a political statement by virtue of its existence. Besides, it would practically be historical revisionism to award the title of “Discourse Doomsday” to anything besides the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot. Even after everything that came afterwards- Wonder Woman, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, The Last Of Us Part II, or whatever the heck’s going on with Lord of the Rings nowadays- I firmly believe that Ghostbusters 2016 truly started it all.

I have no patience with people who insist that November 1st is “too soon” to start playing Christmas music and putting up decorations. It’s my favorite time of the year, I always look forward to it even if my excitement diminishes slightly with each passing year, just please let me enjoy this. Anything to try and rekindle the feeling I always got during the holiday season when I was younger.

I’m glad that my editorial on executive dysfunction resonated with so many people, because it’s resonating with me in a big way recently. I’ve been feeling increasingly depressed and lethargic recently, as if my upload schedule hasn’t made it clear. At the very least, the fact that, for now, this is just an optional side venture and I still can’t bring myself to write proves that I’m not just being lazy. I really need an above-ground dorm room next year. They’re better for my mood.

I absolutely love Christmas decorations. I recently went out to Five Below (not really living up to its name any more, is it?) and got myself one of those small Christmas trees, with a bunch of decorations to boot. I think the end product turned out pretty nice, but I can’t properly convey it in a picture because it always ends up looking cheap. At least it works to spice up my room a little.

What holiday do you think has the best candy? I know some people like Halloween the best for the sheer variety made available, or they simply can’t get enough of candy canes, but I always thought Valentine’s Day was the best. Everything is cherry-flavored (the best flavor), but obviously the most iconic Valentine’s candy is those conversation hearts, which I seem to be in the minority on liking.

From a passenger’s perspective (I know that from a driver’s perspective it’s obviously different), I absolutely love long car rides. Or bus rides. Or train rides. I love them! A perfect time to sit back, relax, daydream, and listen to music, all with little to no interruption- depending on your driving arrangement of course. My mom, for instance, never makes it easy on me.

I now have an email where you can send me any questions and feedback you may have! The address is in my profile if you’re looking for it.

Thanks so much for reading. Until next time, stay on the hook!
